Agro-bachelor

Diploma awarded by the PURPAN School of Engineering certifying a 3-year study programme (180 ECTS) allowing rapid professional integration and offering the possibility of further study. It confers the degree of licence.

The possibility of designing a 3-year curriculum allows PURPAN Agro-Bachelor students to progressively learn the various dimensions that make up the complexity of the professional world.

Intended for the discovery and development of the sense of observation, the internships progressively lead the student to exercise his analytical mind and his capacity of synthesis, to propose solutions in coherence with the professional situations he will meet.

The Agro-bachelor course lasts 3 years, or 6 semesters

• 1st year: General or technological baccalaureate (S, ES, STAV, STL, STI2D)
• 2nd year: Bac+1 having validated
60 ECTS
• 3rd year: Bac+2 having validated 120 ECTS (DUT, BTS, LICENCE 2)

Agro-Bachelor, a 3-year course

The first two years of the course are common. You will learn about the life sciences in order to understand the agri-food industry and develop a critical analytical mind.

This foundation includes time spent in a company in France, then in an English-speaking country.

At the end of these two years, you will have the choice to follow one of the 4 specialisation paths that will be offered in the 3rd year. Of these, 3 are on sandwich courses.

Year 1

Life sciences to understand the agricultural and agri-food sectors.

A 3-month internship in a company must be carried out during the first year.
Proofreading and experience sharing (report and defence) = 6 ECTS

• Chemistry and Biochemistry – 9 ECTS
• Animal and Plant Physiology – 6 ECTS
• Information and digital tools – 3 ECTS

Year 2

Development of analytical skills and international experience.

A 3-month internship in an English-speaking country, either in a laboratory or in a company, must be completed during the second year.
The choice of specialisation pathway will be made at the end of the year.
Proofreading and experience sharing (report and defence) = 6 ECTS

Year 3

Specialisation course.

An R&D internship in a laboratory or company of three and a half months must be completed during the third year.
• R&D internship in a laboratory or company (3 1/2 months) = 6 ECTS

Where and how to apply?

For year 1, register on ParcourSup and for years 2 and 3, send a request for a file to the admissions department from January (file fee: 100€).
Selection will be based on a file review and an individual interview.

After obtaining the Agro-Bachelor diploma?

This diploma will make it easier for you to find a job, but you can also continue your studies afterwards by taking a Master’s degree in the same field of study.
