The school trains students in life sciences, agriculture and agri-food. Each year, it welcomes almost 1700 students across its various courses (from 3 to 5 years of higher education) and employs almost 180 people, including almost 75 permanent research professors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The school has eight state-of-the-art research laboratories and platforms. It is also one of only two schools in France to have its own farm: the Domaine de Lamothe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

PURPAN est au c\u0153ur des r\u00e9seaux d\u2019enseignement, de recherche et de d\u00e9veloppement et elle est notamment \u00e9tablissement composante de l’\u00c9tablissement Public Exp\u00e9rimental “Universit\u00e9 de Toulouse” depuis le 1er janvier 2025<\/a>. Son r\u00e9seau international est d\u00e9ploy\u00e9 dans plus de 50 pays.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

PURPAN has a CSR approach and is committed by definition to environmental protection, sustainable development and agro-ecology, not only through its day-to-day actions but also through the research projects to which its research professors contribute.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

    \u00c9cole d\u2019ing\u00e9nieurs de PURPAN was founded in 1919 by farmers and Jesuit educators.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Using teaching methods for success based on Ignatian sources\u2014the importance of experience, its analysis, support and review\u2014PURPAN\u2019s ambition is to help students develop with a great capacity for action and adaptation, personal commitment, solidarity and a sense of action.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The school has a recognized public service mission (in line with the Rocard Law of 1984) in the fields of training, research, international cooperation and technology transfer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Driven by a sense of responsibility, enthusiasm, benevolence and involvement, PURPAN has been helping its students acquire a vision and a culture of the world around them for over 100 years. This openness helps students acquire technical skills, critical thinking and adaptability, as well as, and above all, the ability to ground themselves with convictions, values and points of reference that stand the test of time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Located in Toulouse on a green, tree-filled 26-hectare site, \u00c9cole d\u2019ing\u00e9nieurs de PURPAN features a 15th-century ch\u00e2teau and an impressive magnolia tree, planted in around 1783 and now classified as one of the most beautiful trees in Europe.The entire estate, owned by a foundation linked to the school, is located opposite the new Cartoucherie district.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
