Transformations underway in rural and agricultural areas<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Acknowledging the transformations in the agricultural and agri-food context, as well as the challenges facing these activities (maintaining agricultural activity in the regions, reorganization and emergence of new sectors, multifunctionality of agriculture, societal expectations in terms of product quality and origin, and the agro-ecological transition), the team is united around the description, understanding and analysis of these ongoing transformations within rural and agricultural areas. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In particular, this team studies the means and strategies for ensuring the sustainability of farms and agricultural sectors in this changing context. Its ability to analyze and support change both upstream and downstream in the agricultural and agri-food sectors focuses on three main areas:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. Area 1: Reconfiguration and transformation of agricultural trades and models<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Area 2: Structuring and governance of agricultural and agri-food sectors<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. Area 3: Quality processes and value creation<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The work of the department\u2019s research professors is closely aligned with that developed within the UMR (joint research unit) to which they belong. Indeed, eight of the department\u2019s research professors are permanent members of joint research unit UMR CNRS 5193 LISST Rural Dynamics (CNRS \/ UT2J), and one research professor is a member of joint research unit UMR AGIR (INRAE \/ INP PURPAN).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This department works with the <\/span><\/span>Agri-food Technologies Hall<\/strong>.<\/span><\/span><\/a>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
